7/14/16-7/21/16- We realized about a month ago that Baylor hasn’t been saying a lot of the words that he used to say and he’s having difficulty mimicking us which he used to be able to do. After talking it over with our pediatrician, we decided to get a speech therapy evaluation, along with occupational therapy for a couple of things that our pediatrician picked up on that didn’t realize were issues. After talking with the various therapists who evaluated him, we’ve decided that speech therapy and occupational therapy would probably be beneficial for him. He’s the same sweet, funny, handsome boy we know and love. We’re just trying to make sure we’re getting all of his needs met and giving him the tools to lead the best life possible. We’re not sure yet why some of these things are popping up now and whether they’re temporary or something we’ll be dealing with for a while. Hopefully we will get some of those answers in the coming months. In the meantime, we’re going to keep loving him as we always have and err on the side of caution.
