6/27/17- Today really could not have been a more awesome day. We took our sweet buddy to Indiana Beach for a day of fun (or at least we hoped it would be. We acknowledged before we left that today was going to go wonderfully or terribly and we weren’t sure which.) Fortunately, Baylor was totally taken in by the “spin the wheel” as soon as we walked in the park and was happy to jump right on. He loved it! We stopped for tacos for lunch, crossed our fingers, and headed for the kids’ part of the park. The first ride we came to was race cars spinning in a circle. Baylor about climbed out of my arms to get into one. We made him watch it go around once so he knew what it did, told him he’d have to ride by himself, and asked him again if he wanted to go. He was sure, so we buckled him in and let him go for it. We got big cheesy grins, he waved to us every go around, and at the end he asked to go again. So he did. There was hardly anyone at the park, so he could choose any ride, climb aboard immediately, and ride as many times as he wanted. I totally lost count of how many rides he went on. He rode the race cars, boats, pumpkin Ferris wheel, and “the whip” which is just a faster version of the race cars over and over and over again. We also went on a train ride around the park and went on the pirate ship ride together. Michael and I occasionally took turns going on a ride we wanted to go on while he rode. We took a couple of breaks for snacks, played a lot of skeeball, let Baylor pick some prizes (4 bracelets and a tiny soccer ball). We found a stop sign pillow in the souvenir shop that he couldn’t leave without, took one last ride on the “spin the wheel” and headed home. We asked him what his favorite part was. He thought for a while and said “all of it!” ❤️❤️❤️ He was asleep before we got out of the parking lot, bless his heart. He had such a good time. It makes my heart so happy to see him that happy.
