6/24-6/26/17- Miracle of miracles! We have a WHOLE WEEK off with Daddy at home before he starts his new job. That’s not actually how this was supposed to go, but the stars aligned and we’re not complaining!! We started off by getting a lot of work on the house out of the way. We cleaned out our storage unit, stained and put together a shelf for the laundry room, put together the bench and hanging rack for the laundry room and got all of that set up, painted the wooden alphabet for Baylor’s playroom, and probably a million more things that I can’t think of off the top of my head.
But we took a little time for playing too. Baylor still loves his water table, so we try to go out at least once a day so he can play with that. We made a yummy pancake breakfast one morning. We put together Baylor’s new tricycle (he was pumped! He’s been asking for one forever!) We got his Thomas roller coaster (an old favorite) set up outside so he can play with it again. Plus, he just likes helping us do whatever we have to get done. And silly pretty much follows wherever we go, so we just make our work fun by being together.
Baylor is still loving his big boy bed. And I’m loving all the snuggles and late night conversations we get to have. He’s talking more and more and I love hearing his thoughts and opinions about things. He’s growing up so fast and I just want to soak up every minute with him. I hope he remembers some of these moments together. I doubt he will- not yet- but maybe he’ll at least carry with him the feeling of being so loved by two parents who totally adore him. I know I’ll carry with me the shrieks of laughter and “Mama! Mama! I need your help!” and “You’re so special to me, Mama, you’re so special to me!” and “I love [spending] time wif you” for the rest of mine.
