5/13-5/24/17- Grandma and Grandpa had so much fun with us when we came to visit that they decided to come spend a little more time with us!
I called them and practically begged them to come help me. Michael has been on a brutal schedule since the middle of March and it’s been real difficult to balance searching for a house (and then searching again), selling a house (then selling again), packing, attending events for Whitney’s wedding, taking care of Baylor, and then just doing normal everyday things to keep the house going like coming, cleaning, and going grocery shopping.
So Grandma and Grandpa swooped in to save the day. THANK GOODNESS. I seriously don’t know how this would have gotten done without them. Grandpa did all the items left on our punch list to get the inspection stuff taken care of while he was here. Then he left and Grandma stayed the entire week to take care of Baylor while I packed like a madwoman. And any time Baylor was occupied or asleep, she was right beside me packing boxes. She took him to the zoo, to the playground, on walks, played with his water table… He had a blast!
Sunday was mother’s day and Michael was working so I didn’t really expect anything. But Grandma helped Baylor bring me breakfast in bed and make me the sweetest card ever 😍 And that night, Michael gave me a card telling me how thankful he is for all I do (which is always really nice to hear!) and a gift certificate to go get a massage which is so needed right now. It ended up being a great Mother’s day! And Baylor gave Grandma the beginnings of a fairy garden to put in her window so they can build it and enjoy it together when he’s at her house.
Baylor got his first “real” haircut- not just a trim, but a real style. She didn’t fix it like I normally do, but once I did I really like how it turned out! He has such fine, stick straight hair with several cowlicks so his hair is a little hard to cut and style. Afterwards, we went to the Cheesecake Factory with Grandma to take a break from all the packing we’d been doing.
