4/17-4/20- This week was busy running errands and getting the house ready to put back on the market. Baylor got a much needed haircut on Monday. Baylor HATES haircuts (which is why he gets long and shaggy a lot) but he was very brave and sat very still for Mrs Julia while she cut his hair. When we got to Target after his haircut, we found a REALLY cool toy for his “water box” in the dollar spot. So of course I said “yes!” and he spent the rest of the day enjoying the beautiful weather and squirting water all over the yard. We’ve started letting him play on the back deck by himself. He can open and close the screen door by himself now, so we can hear him and he thinks he’s really big being able to go in and out by himself.
Also, please note the bottle of glue in Baylor’s hand as he chills with Daddy. His desire to find and claim random objects from the house has not diminished over time. When he finds something that soaks to him, he carries it with him all day long. His crib is his “nest” and he takes time to prepare it each night before he goes to bed with an assortment of books, toys, his toothbrush/toothpaste, and random household objects. He was not allowed to take the glue to bed for safety reasons, but he does frequently take things like Daddy’s shoe horn, medicine syringes, Daddy’s otoscope, and empty cups. As a result, he loves being in his crib. I think he would happily play in there all day if I let him.
