She's Here!!!!!

8/22/18- Yesterday I went for my 39 week appointment and spoke with my doctor about some of my concerns. I have been going in and out of labor for 3 weeks, with contractions getting as close as 5 minutes apart. I was exhausted because many times the contractions last through the night and afraid that I’d be too tired once real labor hit. I was also concerned that the cord might be wrapped around the baby’s neck and not allowing her to fully engage enough to put me into labor. My doctor thought these were both valid concerns, so we scheduled an induction for this morning. I was pretty nervous, since my labor with Baylor was so long. But it couldn’t have been easier. My induction started around 8AM and contractions started almost immediately. By 11AM, I was ready for my epidural. I was able to get a little sleep but I was ready to push just before 1PM. She was out just a few minutes later. Louisa Grace was born 1:05 PM, 7 lb 5 oz, 20 inches. She is just the sweetest baby and we are head over heels for her!

Let’s get this party started!

I’ve been waiting for this moment for 9 long months. There is no better feeling than holding your baby for the first time.
