11/26/16- We got packed up and went to Voodoo to grab some tacos with the whole family. Baylor fell asleep at lunch which is unlike him, but he’s been waking up early because we’re sharing a room rather than sleeping until 10 or 11 like he does at home. After lunch, Grandma and Grandpa said goodbye and went home.
Then we went over to the Christmas tree lot with Tressie and Meela to help her pick out a tree. Then we went over to Aunt Lori’s to watch the Iron Bowl. Aunt Lori and Tressie kept the babies occupied for me. They played ball and read books. Then Aunt Lori got out the blocks (he’s been very into building lately). They would make a tall tower together then Baylor would run over to me, drag me by the hand to the tower, fling his arms out and shout “DA-HA!!!!” (translation: “ta-da!” That’s what Prince Wednesday says when he pulls a rubber ducky out of his hat. So now Baylor says it anytime he does something he wants to show us.)
We made it to the third quarter before deciding it was a lost cause and driving back home. Besides losing the game, it was a really wonderful time to be home with family and get to spend some quality time with the people we love. We hope we get the chance to do it again soon!
